The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has launched a summer training program where 16 students from different UAE
universities will come together and train in various chamber departments.

Dubai Chamber’s goal in this endeavor is to develop a
professionally rich training environment for Emirati students and promote
Emiratisation in the organization.

“This extensive training will definitely enhance the
selected students’ competitiveness in the labor market while boosting their
confidence in facing the corporate world,”  Essa Ali Al Zaabi, Dubai Chamber senior vice president, institutional support sector, said.

The training falls in line with the Dubai Chamber’s commitment
to the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice president and prime minister and ruler of Dubai. Al Maktoum hopes to help
empower young nationals to face the job market.

The interns, for their part, are excited about the opportunity.

“The reason for my participation in the summer program is
to expose myself to the corporate world and gain essential knowledge of working
in a live business environment as Dubai Chamber provides an ideal platform to
prepare one to face any work environment in the future,” Yasmin Al Awadhi, a
Zayed University student, said.
