Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry discusses best practices with regional chambers

The Dubai Chamber
of Commerce and Industry recently hosted representatives from
the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Saudi Arabia’s Madinah Chamber of Commerce and Industry at its head office in Dubai.

 
The Dubai
Chamber organized the meeting to share best practices in membership, certificates of origin and verification. Those in attendance also discussed smart services that the Dubai Chamber provides to members and businesses in the
Emirates.

 

Atiq Juma
Nasib, senior vice-president for commercial services sector at the Dubai Chamber, spoke
at the meeting and highlighted the importance of the chamber’s membership and documentation department, which issued 923,000 certificates of origin and 5,500 ATA Carnets in 2016.

 

Nasib also
talked about the cultural and trade ties that the UAE has with Saudi Arabia. The kingdom was a top export and re-export market for Dubai Chamber members.

 

Nasib
said the visit from Madinah Chamber representatives
supports the Dubai Chamber’s efforts to grow and share knowledge about its
services.
