Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry issued the following announcement on Nov. 1.
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised a special flag hoisting ceremony in front of its head office in Dubai today to celebrate UAE Flag Day and commemorate the accession of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the UAE.
The ceremony was attended by H.E. Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chamber, H.E. Hamad Buamim, President & CEO of Dubai Chamber, senior Dubai Chamber officials, directors, staff and customers.
Commenting on the national occasion, H.E. Al Ghurair described UAE Flag Day a special occasion for Dubai Chamber as it is time to pay homage to H.H. Sheikh Khalifa and remember the contributions of leaders and founding fathers which have made the UAE the great nation that it is today.
Since succeeding the father of the nation H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Khalifa has carried forward the grand legacy of nation-building and dedicated his life to the well-being of his people, H.E. Al Ghurair explained.
He added: “Today, we are united as we show our pride, patriotism and allegiance to the UAE and the values it stands for. Through our combined efforts, I am confident that we can work towards a better future for the people of the UAE, build a bright future for our beloved nation, and keep our flag flying high.”
