The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently
participated in Innoprom 2016, an international industrial trade fair held in
Yekaterinburg, Russia.
The Dubai Chamber promoted its
competitive business environment in the Russian market at the event, which was attended by over
48,000 visitors and 600 participating companies from more than 95 countries
around the globe.
Omar Khan, director of International Offices for the Dubai
Chamber, said the chamber’s participation gave them an ideal place to
attract overseas investors and entrepreneurs.
Khan said the chamber’s international office, which
opened in November 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan, regularly participates in these
types of forums with the goal of establishing contracts and finding areas of
synergy between Dubai businesses and their Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS)
counterparts. This particular expo gave the chamber a great chance to reinforce
its presence in the CIS market, Khan said.
