The Dubai Chamber of
Commerce and Industry recently led a business delegation to Kenya, meeting
with Uhuru Kenyatta, president of the Republic of Kenya, to discuss bilateral
economic ties between the two countries.

 

During the trade mission, S.S.
Lootah International struck a deal with Hashi Energy in Kenya. Together, the
two organizations will provide the United Nations Organization Stabilization
Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) with petroleum
products, trucks, food supplies and financing facilities.

 

“We are honored to be
approaching Africa representing Dubai’s private sector under the umbrella of
the Chamber,” S.S. Lootah International CEO Yahya Lootah said. “By
so doing, we are extending our capabilities and potentials to contribute to the
social and economic welfare of Africa.”

 

Led by Majid Al
Ghurair, chairman of the Dubai Chamber, the delegation included Lootah; Hamad Buamim, president and CEO, Dubai Chamber; Ali Al Fardan, managing director, Al Fardan
Group of Companies; Kariuke Mugwe, consul general, Consulate General of the
Republic of Kenya; Adel Al Zarouni, managing director, Rivoli Group LLC; Eisa Al Serkal, chairman, Nasser Bin Abdullatif Alserkal Establishment;
Mohammed Al Raqbani, general manager at Dubai Investments Industries; Lamin
Sanneh, head of Structured Finance, SS Lootah Group; and Wifag Mabrouk, deputy manager, Lootah Technologies and General Trading.
