The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed happiness at a recent staff meeting to promote the goal of the National Charter for Happiness and Positivity, which focuses on creating an uplifting, happy environment for people and families.

Dubai Chamber President and CEO Hamad Buamim praised the efforts of the staff in remaining steadfast to better the region in any way possible. His welcome speech also encouraged the staff to build a progressive and fulfilling lifestyle in their route to happiness. Buamim noted that living a life of happiness is reflective of the government’s goal to please the people and create an environment that stimulates happiness.

During his address, Buamim suggested that happy employees make better workers and are more prepared to serve customers, which is one reason the chamber is so dedicated to building a positive environment for employees and consumers. 

Hala Kazim, founder of Journey Through Change, presented a piece on positive living during the gathering and spoke on the importance of positivity and eagerness in the workplace. Kazim noted her roles of mom, wife and professional during her presentation.

The UAE is currently ranked 28th globally in the World Happiness Index.
