Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry President and CEO Hamad Buamim highlighted setting personal goals for self-improvement at the Dubai Chamber’s
recent monthly staff meeting, focusing on health and happiness in the work
environment.

“We firmly support our staff in setting positive goals for
their lives, as we know that healthy, happy staff (is) crucial to the success
of the camber and the happiness of our customers,” Buamim said. He praised their work and encouraged office members to
develop healthy lifestyles with goals of physical and emotional well-being.

Feeling one’s best not only benefits the individual, but it also
improves the atmosphere of the entire workplace,

Buamim said.

Guest speaker Mansoor Anwar, who serves as senior director for employee
wellness at telecommunications company du, offered advice for staying well during Ramadan.

In the chamber’s on-site wellness program, nearly half (48
percent) of Dubai Chamber staffers thus far have participated in a
10,000-step-per-day routine.

In addition to healthy eating and exercise incentives, Chamber
personnel have routinely attended fitness-related workshops and other
educational events.
