Dubai Civil Defence, which organizes fire and emergency services for the emirate, recently launched the Personal Dashboard, allowing Dubai residents and visitors to easily connect to Dubai Civil Defense services.

Users can import their personal data into an intuitive online interface, which will keep them informed and connected to Dubai Civil Defense.

The goal for the new Personal Dashboard is to empower users by connecting them to the services they need, and making their daily interactions with city services more efficient and seamless.

Major General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, director general of Dubai Civil Defence, said the new platform fits nicely in Dubai’s Smart City initiatives.

“Dubai Civil Defence cares about the safety and happiness of its citizens, residents and visitors,” Al Matrooshi said. “The Personal Dashboard will now enable real-time public engagement like never before. This is an extension to the Dubai Life Safety Dashboard, which assists Dubai Civil Defence and building owners in Dubai to monitor city/building live from a single screen.”

The Personal Dashboard could help save and improve lives in Dubai as it gives safety officials a way to measure safety condition of users in real time.

“The Personal Dashboard comprises of key metrics, such as health, family and connectedness, which can help us understand how we are doing as individuals, communities and as a city,” Al Matrooshi said. “It not only enhances the internal communication with regards to monitoring of incidents in Dubai, but also demonstrates our commitment toward the residents.”
