The Dubai Civil Defense department recently contracted with the
American technology company Avaya in the hopes of improving its
communication capabilities and customer satisfaction with its Smart
Communications.

“Our vision is for everyone who
interacts with us to experience a truly Smart service,” Rashid
Thani Al Matrooshi, director general of the department, said. “This
extends beyond individuals who call into our contact center, to
companies that work with us on plan review and approvals, as well as
our employees and teams that are often outside the offices and
working in various parts of the city at all times.”

Avaya’s services for Dubai Civil Defense include voice
calls and message services, text messages among employees, and
desk-ready video calling tools that can be utilized on phones and
laptops. The goal is to provide the same secure level of
communication to mobile employees as to those stationed within the
network.

“The civil defense department is approaching this from the
perspective of user happiness, which is a parameter that everyone can
rally behind and once again drive the UAE to the top of the global
ranking,” Nidal Abou-Ltaif, president of Avaya International, said.
