Dubai
Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) customers can now pay their
bills by check using Emirates NBD’s check deposit machines.

DEWA utilizes the Tayseer
service, launched in June 2016, to facilitate the payment method. Creating a
simpler way for customers to pay each month is part of DEWA’s vision to
reaching more people within the community and making their patronage easier.
The service is available at DEWA’s head office in addition to each Emirates
NBD’s check deposit machines across the UAE.

“We are
pleased to be expanding the Tayseer service, launched by DEWA in cooperation
with Emirates NBD, to support the Smart Dubai initiative, launched by Sheikh
Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the UAE
and ruler of Dubai, to transform Dubai into the happiest and smartest place on earth, with a high standard of living and an efficient use of resources, with
seamless and integrated services,”  Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, managing director and CEO of DEWA, said.

“DEWA works
to enhance cooperation with all local, regional, and international entities to
improve government services and develop a smart government that can provide
services for everyone, anytime and anywhere,” Al Tayer said. “DEWA has an
integrated strategy to provide smart services that meet international
standards.”

“Smart services save customers from the hassle of moving to and from
DEWA’s offices to complete their transactions, Al Tayer said. “DEWA always goes to its
customers before they reach its offices. On this occasion, we would like to
renew our commitment towards meeting the needs of our customers, enhancing
their experience, and improving our services. We strive to facilitate and speed
up the payment of bills by using the latest and best smart services. We also do
our best to make life in Dubai the best in the world, by providing all our
services through smart channels that exceed the needs and expectations of our
customers.”

Not only can
