Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received the ‘Best Team Initiative’ award at the UK’s Best Business Awards 2025. The recognition was accepted by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA.

The award acknowledges DEWA’s efforts to encourage teamwork and collaboration within its operations. According to Al Tayer, “Winning the Best Team Initiative award at the UK Business Awards is a global testament to the excellence of DEWA’s initiatives and teams. This accolade underlines our success in leveraging teamwork and collaboration to enhance the energy sector’s efficiency and support sustainable development in Dubai and the UAE. These achievements are the result of a dedicated and creative team that supports DEWA’s efforts to consolidate Dubai’s position as a global capital for the green economy and innovation.”

DEWA was recognized for its initiative focused on developing and improving Dubai’s electricity distribution network. The project involved a team of experts who planned and designed 22 load transfer projects over three years, using innovative approaches. These projects improved the stability of energy supplies for customers in Dubai while also resulting in significant financial savings for DEWA.

The Best Business Awards is an international program that honors companies demonstrating outstanding performance, creativity, leadership, and sustainability across various sectors.
