The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry kicked off the fifth Dubai-Hamburg Business Forum on Tuesday with a slate of  speakers holding four discussion panels to inform people about the public sector solutions in the logistics, smart urban living, energy and health industries.

The speakers at the forum in Dubai represent leading organizations that include Empower, DP World, Dubai South, Dubai Healthcare City Authority and the Dubai Health Authority. German representatives will come from TRIMET Aluminum SE, Stadtreinigung GmbH, Hamburg Port Authority, Dermalog Identification Systems GmbH and Silpion IT-Solutions GmbH.

The theme of the forum, a joint initiative of the Dubai chamber and the Hamburg Chamber, is “Internet of Things: Innovation to Connect.” It provides the business leaders with a good approach for creating joint ventures and networks.

The goal is to create more openness between the four major economic sectors that are mutually interesting to the two nations. New approaches to further develop cooperation between the Hamburg and Dubai business communities were also slated to be discussed.

The overall purpose is to introduce novel projects for both of the nations and their business communities.
