The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) is playing host to several foreign doctors with various specialties, offering the United Arab Emirates’ patients the opportunity to book consultations with field-leading medical specialists.

The program is in line with the DHA’s policy to provide specialized medical care to the population of Dubai. Most of the visiting doctors are currently practicing medicine in European countries like Belgium and Italy.

Abdulrahman Mohammad Al Owghani, director of general foreign relations and media at the DHA, said that the doctors will provide special consultations for DHA patients in hospitals in need of care and expertise from specialized fields such as neurology and pediatric nephrology.

Dr. Alessandro D’Afiero, a urogynaecologist consultant from Italy, will be seeing patients in Latifa Hospital from Aug. 29 until Sept. 4.

Dr. Kailash Bhatia, a neurologist based out of London, will be in Rashid Hospital from Sept. 12 to 19.

Professor Dario Paladini, an obstetrician and gynecologist from Italy will be available for consultations in Dubai Hospital from Sept. 13 to 19.

Dr. Bruno Dillemans, a Belgian bariatric surgeon will also be at Dubai Hospital from Sept. 26 to 29, while the German Professor Franz Schaefer, a pediatric nephrologist, will be at the same hospital Sept. 26 until Oct. 2.

Dubai-based patients can book a consultation appointment with the specialists by contacting Dubai Hospital or Latifa Hospital.
