Dubai hosting Arabia CSR Forum and Awards

The annual Arabia CSR Forum and Awards are set for Oct. 27-28 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates with the focus on sustainable development goals and the role businesses play in achieving them.

This year’s theme is, “Beyond Responsibility: Towards Transformational Sustainability.”

Supported by the League of Arab States, the UN Global Compact and the United Nations Environment Programme, the forum will focus on regional cases, experiences and scenarios with regard to sustainability practices among businesses in Arab countries.

“The forum aims to bridge the gap in knowledge and execution of (corporate social responsibility) and sustainability, and promote a culture change among businesses in the region,” Habiba Al Marashi, president of the Arabia CSR Network said. “It will be a reflection of the spirit of the (sustainable development goals), and we hope it will provide an impetus to business to fall in line with global priorities of growth and development.”
