Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) – Dubai Men’s College (DMC) said 50 of its
students from various sports teams were recognized for their dedication, hard work and achievements at an awards ceremony on June
5.
DMC places a major focus on extracurricular activities and
has many, including student clubs and organizations, community service opportunities,
leadership programs, athletics programs and sports teams that compete in
national, intercollegiate tournaments.
DMC honors students who have actively participated in these extracurricular
activities through the presentation of awards and appreciation certificates at
the DMC annual Student Appreciation Award Ceremony.
During the event, DMC Director Hashim Al Zaabi
congratulated the athletes on their hard work and achievements,
encouraging them to play sports throughout their lives.
Al Zaabi
noted
the importance of sports and extracurricular activities in building a
well-rounded college career and said he believes these activities build a student’s
character.
