Dubai Municipality explores digital solutions at Moro Hub

A delegation from Dubai Municipality, led by Director General Marwan Bin Ghalita, visited Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, to explore its digital infrastructure and smart solutions. The visit was hosted by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), who emphasized the importance of collaboration for digital transformation and smart city initiatives.

The meeting included key figures such as Eng. Marwan Bin Haidar, Vice Chairman – Digital & Group CEO of Digital DEWA; Eng. Waleed Bin Salman, Vice Chairman – Energy at Digital DEWA; Abdul Nasser Abbas, Board Member of Digital DEWA; and Mohammed Bin Sulaiman, CEO of Moro Hub.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer stated: “We are guided by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum…to enhance Dubai’s positioning as a leading city driven by sustainability, innovation, and digital excellence.” He highlighted the alignment with UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 Strategy and other environmental goals.

The visit featured a presentation on Moro Hub’s services and a tour of its facilities including the Network Operations Centre (NOC), Security Operations Centre (SOC), Smart Cities and IoT Command Centre, and Green Data Centre. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer awarded the Green Certificate to Marwan Bin Ghalita in recognition of Dubai Municipality’s efforts in reducing carbon emissions through hosting IT workloads at Moro Hub’s Green Data Centre.

Marwan Bin Ghalita remarked: “As Dubai continues its evolution into one of the smartest and most sustainable cities in the world…it is essential that we work closely with strategic partners like Moro Hub.”

The tour aimed to showcase Moro Hub’s role in supporting urban resilience and environmental sustainability through digital solutions. The company offers various services to support UAE’s vision for an innovation-led economy.

Moro Hub continues to be a strategic partner for public and private sectors in areas such as Cloud & Hosting, Smart City & IoT, Advanced Technology, Cybersecurity, Managed Services, and Enterprise Solutions.
