Dubai Sports World, the biggest indoor summer sports venue in the United Arab Emirates, and Fitness First Middle East have partnered to create a new 236,806-square-foot fitness center.
The new Fitness First will be housed in a fully air conditioned remodeled gym and fitness facility. Admission to the gym will be free, and it will offer both paid and free programming, including mixed and women-only group exercise classes, such as pilates and yoga; children’s Zumba classes; belly dancing; and group and private personal training sessions.
“Our goal is to bring fitness into people’s lives, motivate them to perform beyond their own expectations and go further in life with the right balance of training, healthy eating and inspiration,” George Flooks, chief operating officer of Fitness First Middle East, said. “This partnership with Dubai Sports World has strategic importance for us, as it provides us with the ideal platform to reach out to a diverse audience within the general public – from sports enthusiasts to those who regularly exercise to those battling weight and health issues among others. With the world class fitness professionals and a timetable of highly exciting fitness classes, we are expecting our first participation to be highly successful and enjoyed by the community of Dubai.”
The new fitness center also will host The Change Project, an eight-week weight-loss program that will concentrate on lifestyle changes to produce long-term results.
“A core pillar of Dubai Sports World’s ongoing grassroots mission is to encourage people of all ages and abilities to stay active and healthy during summer,” Ahmed Al Khaja, senior vice president of Dubai Sports World, said. “Our strategic partnership with Fitness First provides significant added value to our loyal visitors, who can celebrate our fifth anniversary by signing up for tailored fitness classes provided by the region’s undisputed leader in personal fitness and wellbeing. The Fitness First brand is synonymous for its specialist, industry-leading expertise, and we look forward to hosting a diverse line-up of fitness classes to the UAE’s largest indoor summer sports venue.”
