Dubai Women’s College honors staff in first-ever award ceremony

Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) – Dubai Women’s College (DWC) recently held its first
award ceremony to recognize faculty and staff for their contributions throughout the 2015-16 academic year.

DWC Director Tarifa Al Zaabi oversaw the event and
shared a report on the college’s overall achievements for the year. This report
preceded updates for the college’s academic and service departments.

DWC staff receiving awards included Indrani Hazarika, who was
given the Research & Development award; Jyothi Ganglani and Senan
Gibson, who won the Innovation Award; Hector Iweka, who received the Professional and Personal Development Award; and Raja Abu Jabr, who was presented with the Community Outreach & Engagement Award.

Liesel Greyling became the Student
Empowerment Champion. The Director’s Award for Best Department/Division was
handed out to the Computer Information Science Division while the Director’s
Award for Faculty or Staff was presented to Maryam Khamis.
