Emaar Malls Management (LLC) has introduced a rent relief initiative for Food & Beverage tenants with terrace spaces facing the Lake and Fountain areas at Dubai Mall and Souk Al Bahar. This decision follows the closure of Dubai Fountain, a major attraction for visitors to these locations.

To mitigate the impact on footfall and dining experiences, Emaar will provide a four-month rent waiver from June to September 2025 for affected terrace spaces. Additionally, Emaar plans to enhance visitor engagement by installing 400 meters of digital screens across the promenade, offering visual content to maintain foot traffic during the fountain’s closure.

The terraces with views of Dubai Fountain have been popular for their ambiance and scenic waterfront setting. Mohamed Alabbar stated, “For years, Dubai Fountain and surrounding lake have contributed significantly to the popularity of these destinations. As we move into a new chapter, this rent support reflects our commitment to long-term partnerships and to helping tenants navigate this transition with resilience and confidence.”

Emaar Malls remains committed to providing sustainable solutions that support growth within its retail communities.
