Emaar Properties has secured the naming rights for a new station on Dubai Metro’s Blue Line, which will be known as “Emaar Properties Station.” This station is set to become the highest metro station in the world at 74 meters. The announcement was made during a foundation stone laying ceremony attended by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The architectural design of the station has been approved and developed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), an architecture firm known for designing landmarks such as Burj Khalifa. Emaar Properties Station will cover approximately 11,000 square meters and is designed to accommodate up to 160,000 passengers per day. By 2040, it is expected to handle more than 70,000 daily users.
The station’s design is inspired by a “crossing gateway” concept and features materials like Jura limestone, bronze metal panels, and granite flooring. The interiors are designed to reflect warmth and resilience while allowing natural light through glass ceiling panels.
This development marks Emaar’s ongoing contribution to Dubai’s infrastructure growth. The naming rights agreement for Emaar Properties Station spans ten years from its official launch in 2029. Additional naming rights for other stations on the Blue Line will be announced later.
