The Emirates and Abu Dhabi Business Women Councils recently
celebrated the 15th anniversary of their establishment in a ceremony
at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

The event was held under the
patronage of Fatima Mubarak, chairwoman of
the General Women’s Union, supreme chairwoman of the Family Development
Foundation and president of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.

During the ceremony, Maryam Al-Rumaithi, chairwoman of the Emirates Business Women Council and chairperson of the executive board of the Abu Dhabi Business Women Council (ADBWC), talked about
the council’s creation as a strategic initiative to empower women in
the economic field and provide them with adequate training to succeed in
business.

“The Abu Dhabi Business Woman Council is the representative
of businesswomen in the Emirates Business Woman Council and other similar
regional and international organizations,” Al-Rumaithi said. “The council has always participated in conferences and events that look after the
economic affairs of women and contributed to increasing their role in the
sustainable and comprehensive development process in our country.”
