Emirates Motor Company starts 2015 strong with increase in sales

Emirates Motor Company (EMC), the Mercedes-Benz authorized distributor in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, recently reported a  25 percent growth in sales during the first quarter of 2015 compared to the same period last year.

The flagship company of Al Fahim Group, EMC launched the high performance sporty Mercedes AMG GT S and the luxurious Mercedes-Maybach S 600 this year. New Mercedes-Benz sports utility vehicle classes, such as the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe and GLC, are expected to arrive in the United Arab Emirates in the last quarter of the year.

“Last year, we launched a range of all-new vehicles and, we are now witnessing their success in the premium market,” General Manager Kamal Rafih said. “Take the new C-Class 2015; besides being Car of the World and our most popular model this year, its sales continue to grow from one month to the other. CLS is enjoying a 70 percent growth in the first quarter compared to the same period last year; and, the sporty A-Class recording an upsurge of 24 percent.”

In May, EMC will launch the new generation of Mercedes-Benz compact cars in select universities across the emirate, including the new crossover Mercedes-Benz GLA and the CLA.
