Emirates NBD, a prominent banking group in the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye region, has achieved significant recognition at the Euromoney Middle East Awards for Excellence 2025 by winning eight awards. These accolades highlight the bank’s strategic expansion, digital leadership, and financial performance.
The bank secured five regional awards, including “Middle East’s Best Bank.” Emirates NBD reported an exceptional financial performance in 2024 with a net profit of AED 23 billion, marking a 7% increase. The bank’s international operations contributed to 31% of total income, reflecting successful expansion strategies across the GCC, Asia, and Europe.
Emirates NBD was acknowledged for its efforts in sustainable finance innovation by winning “Middle East’s Best Bank for ESG” and “Middle East’s Best ESG Deal 2025.” In 2024, the bank issued the world’s first sustainability-linked loan financing bond aligned with updated guidelines from the International Capital Market Association and Loan Market Association. This initiative raised USD 500 million. Additionally, Emirates NBD Capital facilitated over USD 34 billion in sustainable finance during that year.
With an increase in revenue from the SME segment by 11%, Emirates NBD received recognition as “Middle East’s Best Bank for SMEs.” The bank emphasized digital innovation with around 80% of its SME accounts being opened digitally in 2024.
The award for “Middle East’s Best Bank for Customer Experience” was also won by Emirates NBD following an extensive customer experience transformation over the past year and a half.
On a national level, Emirates NBD earned three awards: “UAE’s Best Bank,” “UAE’s Best Bank for ESG,” and “UAE’s Best Investment Bank for Equity Capital Markets (ECM) 2025.” The bank showcased asset growth of 16% year-on-year while maintaining significant market shares within UAE credit cards.
