Renewable energy company Masdar of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, was named in the recent 2015 Universum Talent Survey as the Middle East’s Most Attractive Public Sector Employer and Most Attractive Employer for IT and Engineering by UAE students.

Universum is an online survey site for UAE students. More than 8,000 students from 24 educational institutions took part in the 2015 survey. Participating schools included the American University of Sharjah, Zayed University, American University in Dubai, Abu Dhabi University, Hult International Business School and New York University Abu Dhabi.

“Masdar is people – people with ideas big and small, working in a place that can take both big and small ideas and turn them into reality,” Masdar CEO Ahmad Belhoul said. “Every person here contributes something unique and important. By helping to secure sustainable and clean energy sources, everyone at Masdar is both directly and indirectly helping to preserve our natural resources, to ensure we have access to clean water, and to protect our environment for generations to come.”

The award was accepted at the recent ceremony by Maha Al Mansouri, Masdar’s director of human capital.

“As we recently celebrated the 44th National Day of the UAE, and as we remember the brave people who have given their lives for the country, Masdar was honored to be the recipient of the 2015 Most Attractive Employer Award in the UAE for public sector and government agencies,” he said. “This is the second time we have won this prestigious award, winning it in 2014 as well. We are growing in an innovation-driven economy and I am thrilled to know that Masdar is highly recognized among university students and new graduates. This demonstrates the breadth of our human capital positioning. People are our most important asset and their motivation, growth and well-being is our priority.”
