An Ethan Allen Design Center has opened its doors in the Medina Centrale this week in Doha, Qatar, the company said on Tuesday.

“Ethan Allen is America’s classic design brand,” Farooq Kathwari, Ethan Allen’s chairman and CEO, said. “And just as diversity is the story of America, diversity of design is the story of Ethan Allen. Our influences are international, and our heritage is built on uncompromised craftsmanship and classic style.”

Ethan Allen, based in
Danbury, Connecticut, is a retail furniture company that was launched in 1932
and is now a global chain boasting more than 300 stores, eight
manufacturing facilities and five manufacturing plants throughout the
United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, as well as manufacturing
plants in Mexico and Honduras.

The Qatari store measures 1,000 square feet and has been designed to hold hundreds of items — a full array of furniture, rugs, lighting, window treatments and artwork.

Abu Issa Holding partnered with Ethan Allen to open the Doha design center.

“Ethan Allen is an iconic international luxury brand,” Ashraf Abu Issa, the holding company’s chairman, said.

A private grand opening took place on Wednesday.
