Etihad
Airways announced this week that its Abu Dhabi to Tokyo Narita flight will be
flown by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner starting on Dec. 1.

The
Dreamliner provides passengers with luxurious first-class suites, business studios
and economy smart seats. An on-board chef, food and beverage manager, and flying
nanny will be on hand to deliver innovative hospitality services during
flights.

“The
B787 Dreamliner is an exceptional aircraft from an operational and guest
experience perspective,” Kevin Knight, Etihad Aviation Group chief strategy and planning officer, said. “Its unique design and our innovative and stylish cabins
offer a guest experience that’s superior in terms of luxury and comfort. “These
product attributes and the Etihad in-flight service and hospitality — on-board chefs, food and beverage managers and flying nannies — make ours a winning
proposition.”

Etihad
Airways first serviced a flight between Abu Dhabi and Japan on Feb. 1,
2010, with weekly flights to and from Nagoya via Beijing. On March 30, 2014,
the service was ramped up and Etihad began offering daily flights. The company
added the Tokyo Narita flight on March 27, 2010, with five weekly nonstop
flights. On March 31, 2013, daily service to Narita began.
