Aspiring Emirati
entrepreneurs got some advice and insight from retail experts
recently at the “Innovation in the Retail Sector” workshop
in Dubai. The meeting was organized by the Tejar Dubai
Entrepreneurship development program, an initiative of the Dubai
Chamber of Commerce.

Khalid Al Janahi, an assistant
manager of Retail Leasing at Meraas Holding, conducted the workshop
and offered some thoughts on attracting customers and becoming
successful.

“Aligned with
Dubai’s positioning as a 21st century destination that embraces
values, cultures and aesthetics from around the world, each Meraas
development delivers inspired, themed, live-work-play spaces that add
to the cityscape as intrinsically classic as they are futuristic,”
Al Janahi said.

Success stories, thoughts on the best
practices in global retail, and all aspects of innovation were
covered during the meeting.

“The
workshop, which is the first for this year, was organized as part of
the Tejar Dubai entrepreneurship development program, whose aim is to
train budding Emirati entrepreneurs to realize their dreams and to
arm them with the required tools to succeed in the business world,”
Essa Al Zaabi, senior vice-president of the Institutional Support
Sector of the Dubai Chamber and general coordinator of Tejar Dubai,
said.
