American BBQ restaurant chain Famous Dave’s will open its first franchise outside North America in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

 In a partnership with Tablez Food, Famous Dave’s will open four restaurants in UAE, with the first one expected to open in Abu Dhabi in 2016.

“This international franchise expansion plan is an important partnership for Famous Dave’s and we are thrilled to

bring our authentic award–winning All-American Legendary Pit Bar-B-Que to the region,” Famous Dave’s Interim CEO Adam Wright said. “We are thrilled to be working with Tablez, the best food and beverage group in the UAE, to provide our world-class Bar-B-Que dining experience specifically customized for the United Arab Emirates.”

Tablez Food specializes in food and beverage concepts, and Famous Dave’s is the first BBQ restaurant in its portfolio.
