Mind Growth
Companion Betina Lagerstrom recently presented a public lecture at Ajman
University of Science and Technology to keep students in the know about current
market trends.
The Department Architectural Engineering at the College of
Engineering invited the Feng Shui master to speak on the art of Feng Shui, its
origination, where it was first used and the journey that brought the ancient
art to the Middle East, particularly in architectural developments throughout
the region.
Lagerstrom
was able to provide insight into the often misunderstood world of Feng Shui,
and explain some common misconceptions that the practice is strongly associated
with religion. In fact, the use of Feng Shui can be exemplified in a single
room or across an entire city, explained Lagerstrom. In order to achieve the holistic
effect of the practice, energies from people, the earth and all surroundings
must be in sync through suitable channeling.
Recent
examples of the concept were highlighted during the lecture, along with an
explanation of the different schools and concepts practiced in Feng Shui. Lagerstrom’s
deep knowledge and skill in the art has led to her be a desirable part of
many property developers’ teams in the United Arab Emirates.
Participants of
the lecture were actively engaged throughout the session, asking questions and
making comments during the question-and-answer session post lecture.
A token of
appreciation was presented to Lagerstrom by Nahla Al Qassimi and
faculty members to conclude the event.
