First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has partnered with the Education & Technology Sciences Attaché at the UAE Embassy in London to launch its first UAE Career Forum for Emirati students abroad. The event was held on November 29 and 30, 2025, at the InterContinental London Park Lane. It coincided with National Day celebrations and focused on providing professional development opportunities for Emirati students studying in Europe.

The forum targeted students from several European countries, including the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, France, Sweden, Germany, and Hungary. The initiative aimed to connect these students with leading organizations from the UAE and around the world to help them access graduate and pre-graduate programs.

FAB showcased its Ethraa, Bedeya, and Management Training programmes during the event. These initiatives are part of FAB’s efforts to promote Emiratisation abroad and establish itself as a global employer of choice.

His Excellency Mansoor Abulhoul, UAE Ambassador to the United Kingdom, said: “The event reflected the UAE’s continued commitment to strengthening its higher education landscape, advancing the quality and competitiveness of academic and research outputs, and ensuring that national institutions remain at the forefront of global excellence.” He added that supporting Emirati students abroad is key to helping them transition into the UAE labor market.

Mr Abdulrahman Jasem Al Dhaheri, Acting Education & Technology Sciences Attaché in London, stated that organizing this forum aligns with “the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.” He emphasized that their main goal is to provide structured academic guidance and professional development for Emirati students through partnerships connecting higher education with employment opportunities. “Preparing students with the skills, capabilities, and international exposure required for a competitive employment landscape remains central to the Attaché’s mandate,” he said.

Noora Al Reyasi, Group Chief Human Resources Officer at FAB stated: “As the UAE’s global bank and one of the region’s largest financial institutions, FAB continues ‎to position itself as an employer of choice for UAE Nationals… Our participation in this career forum reflects our firm commitment to unlocking global ‎opportunities for Emirati students. By bridging the gap between our future talent and world-‎class employers, we are reaffirming our mission to empower, nurture, and support our brightest ‎minds to achieve their career aspirations in the UAE.”

Ten organizations from various sectors participated in showcasing career options for Emiratis. Companies included KPMG; Emirates Airlines; Masdar; Burjeel Holdings; EDGE; The Boston Consulting Group; Al Tamimi & Co.; Department of Culture & Tourism – Abu Dhabi; along with other government entities. Student participation was coordinated based on academic specializations reviewed by the Attaché office.

The forum represents a new approach in cross-border collaboration focused on talent development among young Emiratis studying overseas.
