First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has been named the Official Banking Partner for the inaugural Open Masters Games in the Middle East, which will take place in Abu Dhabi. The agreement was formalized at a signing ceremony attended by H.E. Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and Futoon Hamdan Al Mazrouei, Group Head of Personal, Wealth, Business Banking and Privileged Client Group at FAB.

The event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’. The Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026 is expected to attract more than 25,000 participants from around the world. Athletes will compete in over 30 sports and disciplines between February 6 and 15. The Games aim to promote lifelong fitness and highlight Abu Dhabi’s position as a host for major international sporting events.

FAB’s role as Official Banking Partner includes engaging its employees, partners, and clients through volunteering opportunities, sports participation, and community initiatives. These efforts are aligned with the Games’ vision: “United by Sport, Active for Life.”
