A recent meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalid Al Khalifa and Minister of State Ramtane Lamamra focused on strengthening the relationship between the two nations.

The meeting was hosted Nov. 21 during Lamamra’s visit to the kingdom of Bahrain.

The minister noted the strong bilateral relations between
the kingdom of Bahrain and Algeria thanks
to a strong history of progressive collaboration. The relationship also shows consistent
growth and economic development in a number of sectors.

Not only have the economic and political ties between the
two countries strengthened the relationship, but the minister noted that having
such a strong base also allows for more ways for the two friendly countries to
work together for mutual benefits.

Lamamra said that his visit to Bahrain has been
enjoyable and he is working diligently to ensure that relationship continues to
develop. He highlighted the need to explore different industries where the two
nations could work together to create productivity and diversification for both
countries.

The two leaders ended the visit with a brief discussion on
utilizing the work of the joint action committee between the two sides as a way
to enhance bilateral relations. Several regional issues were also negotiated
between the two dignitaries.
