The kingdom of Bahrain
has offered different aid and contributions to the African continent through
the Royal Charity Organization, as highlighted by Undersecretary of
Regional and GCC Affairs Waheed Sayyar.

The organization is
supported by trade and economic deals between the kingdom and African countries
and is overseen by Royal Charity Organization Board Chairman Nasser Al Khalifa and King Hamad Al Khalifa.

Sayyar’s detailed
report was delivered during meetings with executives and committees of top
officials from the Gulf Cooperation Council and the General Secretariat of the
GCC. During the General Secretariat in Riyadh, the dignitaries discussed the benefit
of collaborating with African countries and organizations.

The meeting was part
of the strategic plan to work with African countries and organizations developed
during the Council of Ministers No. 140 in September 2016.

The plan aims to better
relationships between the GCC and the African Union by concentrating on actions
in the political, educational, and economic industries. The two groups also
agreed on partnering in the social, media, and cultural realms to advance both
regions.

By discussing the
priorities and ways of working together, GCC and the African countries have
been able to better cooperation between the two groups.
