Gemalto, a global provider of digital security, is preparing for its demonstrations and presentations for the 2015 round of Cards & Payments Middle East, a yearly event that displays the latest developments of the region’s payments and smart cards market.

In preparation for the event, Gemalto has designed a wide range of innovative solutions and will host live, interactive demonstrations throughout the event, which is Tuesday and Wednesday at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The convention will exhibit the latest novel technologies, including mobile banking and e-payment options, wearable devices, mobile government software, and platforms for the next-generation digital IDs. One of the most anticipated presentations is Gemalto’s exclusive DubaiCard kiosk. This is the first ever self-service kiosk that will immediately release payment cards, a new technology for the United Arab Emirates.

DubaiCard is powered by Dexxis Card Instant Issuance solution, which will enable secure and seamless immediate card issuance. There will be 200 kiosks installed throughout the region as the first phase of distributing this technology around the world.

“The world of financial services and payments is evolving at a brisk pace, with digital and mobile banking taking centre stage, and NFC payments following suit,”

Gemalto President for the Middle East and Africa Eric Claudel said. “New technologies and disruptive payment solutions are creating a vibrant marketplace with significant opportunities for payment innovations for both banked and unbanked markets. Our solutions have the capability to support a wide range of customer demands for increasingly personalized, convenient, yet secure options, and our line-up of demos at Cards & Payments ME is designed to further validate this claim.”
