Georgia Minister of Agriculture Otar Danelia recently visited Qatar and met with Ahmed al-Obaidly a member of the Qatar Chamber board, to discuss improving trade relations and economic growth. 

Al-Obaidly emphasized that businessmen based in Qatari are eager to explore the many opportunities in the real estate and agriculture industries based in Georgia. There are also other areas that Qatari leaders are interested in for their investments.

Danelia
highlighted that Qatari investments are always welcome in Georgia. These investments can see especially high returns in industries like tourism, transportation, agriculture and food security. Agriculture currently comprises 10 percent of Georgia’s gross domestic product.

Danelia said that Qatari businessmen are more than welcome to visit Georgia. This will help them to see the investment and trade opportunities that are available in person.
