Global Cloud Xchange (GCX), a subsidiary of Reliance Communications, recently announced the appointment of Vineet Verma as president of Middle East and Africa (MEA) operations.

Verma joined the Reliance Group in 1996 and has held various leadership roles across the business in operations, product management and business strategy. Most recently, he was the head of strategy and corporate development of GCX, where he focused on identifying and evaluating organic and inorganic growth opportunities across the company, leading key strategic initiatives, and building long-term partnerships in the MEA region. Now, he will be responsible for leading the company’s growth and corporate strategies across the region.

“The MEA region presents a significant long-term opportunity for GCX and Vineet’s appointment is in line with our ongoing commitment to deploy expert resources to drive growth in this dynamic market,” Reliance Communications and GCX Chief Executive Officer Bill Barney said. “Vineet brings almost two decades of industry experience to this role and we are confident that we will continue to deliver exceptional value to our customers and achieve new milestones under his leadership.”
