Designed to inspire fledgling entrepreneurs by sharing success stories, Global Entrepreneurship Week, which took place Nov. 15 through 19 in Oman, included both workshops and educational sessions. In one of those sessions, Gulf Energy CEO Hilal Al Busaidi spoke about the challenge of growing a multi-million dollar enterprise in a competitive field.

Al Busaidi was originally trained as a petroleum engineer. During his two decades in the oil and gas industry and years with Gulf Energy, he has also become a well-versed oil and gas professional. He has worked his way up through the company and has held key roles in the company’s progress.

He has been an effective leader: with Al Busaidi at the helm, Gulf Energy has been able to consistently expand its services and offerings.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is observed all over the world. It brings together innovators and job creators so they can share their visions, network and be a part of economic growth.

Other activities during the week in Oman included a financial management workshop led by Sharakah’s general manager, Abdullah Al Jufaili; a small and medium-sized business clinic conducted by Rasha Al Mahrouqi, a business and risk consultant in SME Advisory Services at Protiviti; and an education session, “The Lounge Pre-Speed Networking Event,” presented by members of the Oman American Business Council.
