According to recent research from TechSci Research, the Saudi Arabia biometric systems market is estimated to grow approximately 22 percent through the year 2020.

As one of the main developing economies located within the Middle East, Saudi Arabia is quickly growing in developing biometric devices for the area.

There is an increased need for more secure verification and authentication methods in Saudi Arabia. These developments would counteract financial frauds, security breaches and time-theft. Improving these methods must be accurate as well as cost-efficient, and this is what is driving the growth for the biometric market in Saudi Arabia.

The report, titled “Saudi Arabia Biometric Systems Market Forecast & Opportunities, 2020,” projects the market to continue gaining remarkable growth thanks to a variety of factors: more government projects, technological developments and improved banking, financial services, defense, healthcare and oil and gas services.

“Government segment, which includes both defense and non-defense applications, is expected to continue its dominance in Saudi Arabia biometric systems market over the next five years,” Mr. Karan Chechi, research director with TechSci Research, a research-based global management consulting firm, said. “Increasing adoption of iris technology in defense segment, fingerprint technology and other biometric technologies in public as well as private offices, and increasing use of biometrics in government projects in education and travel and immigration sectors, are the major factors driving biometric systems sales in the country.”
