Hilton Worldwide has signed a management agreement with Universal Management Group to open the mid-market Hilton Garden Inn Doha on C Ring Road.

The hotel is slated to open in Doha, Qatar’s capital, in 2018, joining other Hilton Garden Inn hotels already operating in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

“As one of the world’s commercial capitals, Doha is a key market for our growing presence in the Middle East, with its continuously evolving visitor offering and infrastructure,” Carlos Khneisser, vice president of development for the Middle East and North Africa, Hilton Worldwide, said. “Today’s signing underlines our commitment to providing greater choice in the Middle East through a multi-brand growth strategy underpinned by strong brands and the best management practices.”

Hilton Garden Inn Doha C Ring Road will feature 138 guest rooms with signature bedding, a health club and outdoor swimming pool. Dining options include an all-day restaurant, a lobby cafe, a bar and 24-hour pavilion pantry. A business center, complimentary wi-fi and meeting space will also be available. The hotel’s prime location on C Ring Road places it within easy access to business and commercial areas, as well as Hamad International Airport.

“Qatar is more connected to global markets than ever before and, with an increasingly diversified guest demographic, we are presented with a major opportunity for Universal Management Group to cater to growing numbers of guests seeking affordable options,” Abdel Nasrallah, CEO of Universal Management Group, said. “Hilton Worldwide is the natural partner for us to accommodate this wider variety of demands, with the Hilton Garden Inn brand now firmly established in the Middle East as a first choice for global travelers.”
