The 24th board of directors meeting of the Islamic Chambers of Commerce, Industry and
Agriculture (ICCIA) took place in Konya, Turkey, with the Qatar Chamber among the
participants.

Chamber members
Abdul Al Redwany and Mohamed Al Mohamed served on the chamber’s
delegation, which was headed by Qatar Chamber Chairman Khalifa Al-Thani.

During the meeting,
participants will review the report from the ICCIA’s Committee on the
Award of Excellence “Itkan.” In addition, attendees will revisit the
authorization of Halal Certificates and the application of the resolutions managed
by the General Assembly and ICCIA board of directors during March 2016 meetings
in Jeddah, kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The event
will also include a discussion on future activities and events planned by
ICCIA, and the development of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)’s
Council of Arbitration and its ability to execute recommendations made by a
Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC).
