Impact Porter Novelli (IPN) was selected to be the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) public relations agency for Honor, a smartphone e-brand produced by Huawei, on July 8.

IPN will launch Honor’s global #ForTheBrave campaign. Additionally, IPN will work toward creating a regional awareness of the Honor brand.

“IPN made a huge impact on us after launching our Honor 6 Plus device on a project basis in May 2015,” Honor Vice President for the Middle East Region Chris Sun said. “The device, which was made available exclusively via Souq.com, sold out within the first week prompting us to order more stock to meet market demand.”

Worldwide, an Honor device is sold every 1.5 seconds.

“We are thrilled to have secured the business of such an innovative and forward-thinking brand,”

IPN Director of Technology and Digital Publishing Natasha Ighodaro said. “The Honor e-commerce business model is a game changer in this region; finally consumers will be able to purchase top-range smartphones at a mid-range price point. The success of the Honor 6 Plus launch in this region shows us that there is a huge consumer appetite for these products, so we expect Honor to make a huge impact in the GCC this year.”
