The seventh annual International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR 2016) has been set for March 15-17, 2016.

The exhibition will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre in Abu Dhabi and will feature the inaugural Infosecurity Middle East event.

Infosecurity Middle East is an international brand focusing on the information security industry. The Abu Dhabi edition will run in tandem with ISNR. The new event is open to representatives from regional governments, critical infrastructure, major public institutions, IT security firms, and cyber-security companies.

The partnership of Infosecurity Middle East and ISNR 2016 is signifiant because, according to recent studies, the global energy sector was subject to a 300 percent higher malware encounter rate than the median industry. Another report by MarketsandMarkets shows that regional governments will have to spend upwards of $9.5 billion on cyber-security by 2019 to support governments’ and enterprises’ efforts to implement strict laws and regulations for securing networks.

“Cyber-security was the key topic that was discussed during this year’s World Economic Forum,” Nicky Dawson, group exhibition director at Reed Exhibitions, said. “All participants have agreed that it represents a threat to national security. In this context, the launch of Infosecurity Middle East will bring a valuable addition to the rapidly growing regional information security market, with more than 20 years of experience in cyber-security in Europe.”

ISNR is the third-largest international exhibition and conference on national defense in the world.
