Thousands of Arab youth will continue to benefit from INIJAZ Al-Arab’s The Company Program and Innovation Camps thanks to a renewed partnership between the

Junior Achievement Worldwide member
and the Citi Foundation.

The

NIJAZ Al-Arab

programs, aimed at nurturing the growth of young entrepreneurs throughout Bahrain and seven other nations in the Middle East-North Africa region, help youth understand business finance and other business-related skills.

Through

NIJAZ Al-Arab’s The Company Program, students set up and operate actual businesses and compete at national and regional contests;

NIJAZ Al-Arab’s

Innovation Camps afford students the opportunity to participate in one-day camps that focus on creativity, teamwork, leadership, critical thinking and presentation skills.

“Citi Bahrain has held two Innovation Camp events to date which were instrumental in training and developing the students through The Company Program,” Citi Bahrain CEO

Usman Ahmed, said. “It is truly satisfying to see how these two INJAZ programs enlighten the students and allow their creativity to be developed through ideas and products they put together. We are proud to be playing a role in helping students understand the challenges of real life market conditions and the importance of sound decision making to be able to create a sustainable business.”

INJAZ Bahrain Executive Director

Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa
expressed gratitude to the Citi Foundation.

“Together with INJAZ Bahrain, we work on building and influencing the future generation and the youth and equip them with the right set of skills to be able to succeed in the market place,” he said. “With this partnership, we will be able to reach out to even more students, giving them the opportunity to excel and succeed in this challenging and ever changing global economy.”
