InterContinental Regency Bahrain marks 35 years

InterContinental Regency Bahrain, one of Bahrain’s most luxurious five-star hotels, has reached a milestone – 35 years in operation – and marked the occasion with a celebration in the hotel’s Al Rifaa Ballroom on Dec. 13.

“It is an honor for us all here at the InterContinental Regency Bahrain to have reached such a significant milestone in our journey in the kingdom since November 1980,” InterContinental Regency Bahrain General Manager

Jan Ifcic said . “We pride ourselves in the rich culture of delivering authentic experiences and excellence that is part of InterContinental Regency Bahrain’s legacy. It was a privilege to celebrate our 35th year anniversary with our esteemed partners, United Hotels Company and our honorable guests, who contributed toward the event being a great success.”

A 10-year extension to the hotel’s management agreement was signed at the celebration by representatives from InterContinental Hotels Group and United Hotels Company, which owns the InterContinental Regency Bahrain.

The hotel features 321 guest rooms, ballrooms and restaurants. The facilities have been used for parties, gatherings and conferences of all kinds; dignitaries from all over the world have been guests at the InterContinental Regency Bahrain.

“It has been a pleasure to work with the InterContinental Hotels Group and we look forward to our continued partnership with them as it is through the success that we have achieved over the past 35 years that our sense of pride stems from,” United Hotels Chairman and Managing Director Omar Al Mardhi said.
