The International Bank of Qatar (ibq) recently announced the 24th winner of the bank’s monthly prize draw for the ibq loyalty program thanq.

The prize marks two years since ibq began the thanq loyalty program, which gives out awards to loyal customers each month.

July’s winner was Gopi Periyasamy, who has been an ibq customer for four years. Periyasamy said he was overjoyed to win 100,000 thanq reward points in the July prize draw.

Periyasamy is already planning to travel to Malaysia in November to visit his wife’s family, saying he is thrilled with his thanq points win as these will go towards his planned trip. He received his prize in a ceremony held at the bank’s headquarters.

Hassan Al Mulla, head of retail banking at ibq, said the bank is glad to see Periyasamy win the monthly prize.

“Our award-winning thanq program rewards customers like him to show them how much we value their loyalty to our brand, services and products and gives them the opportunity to benefit from amazing offers to travel all over the world,” Al Mulla said.

The rewards program, thanq, gives customers the possibility to gather points across a wide range of ibq products and services and then redeem them by booking flights on more than 800 airlines worldwide. The points also add up to be used for accommodation in 160 thousand hotels worldwide for customers to use at the destination of their choice.
