Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture issued the following announcement on Sept. 13.

The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development launched the E-Empower program in cooperation with Amazon International, with the aim of supporting and developing small and medium enterprises for entrepreneurs in Abu Dhabi within the “Abu Dhabi Inspires” program launched by the Abu Dhabi government.

The program provides interactive online educational content to help SMEs grow and operate in light of the expanding digital economy. It will also provide unconventional tools and insights for SMEs on how to expand their businesses to enable them to penetrate markets and reach the widest possible segment of customers through the Amazon.a platform.

However, Amazon will provide more than 50 hours of educational content to the thousands of companies that make up the small and medium-sized business community in Abu Dhabi. Also, it will provide 4 months of support to vendors and entrepreneurs as part of the E-Empower program, to enable them to expand their online capabilities and stimulate the growth of their enterprises.

The program includes free online training sessions and expert advice that includes detailed instructions on launching and growing a business on Amazon.

“The launch of this new program comes within the framework of the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development endeavors to empower entrepreneurs and develop the small and medium enterprises sector,” said Mohamed Ali Al-Shurafa, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and Chairman of the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development.

He pointed out that “the program strengthens the Fund’s tendency to go beyond its traditional role, which was based on financing and direct support, to creating an advanced business environment that depends on technological development that has become more influential on the performance of companies and global markets, by establishing strategic partnerships with leaders.” Global industry like Amazon. “

The partnership between the Khalifa Fund and Amazon will bring significant benefits to Emirati entrepreneurs, as companies that have completed the E-Empower program can receive exclusive benefits from Amazon, such as starting to accelerate their business growth on Amazon through the tailored approach and recommendations assigned to them.

It is noteworthy that the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi launched a commercial license called “Electronic Trade License”, with the aim of promoting the practice of electronic business activities through digital channels, in order to achieve confidence between the seller and the consumer across all commercial sectors. This license aims to encourage entrepreneurs to enhance their activity through e-commerce and digital marketing of enterprise products and existing businesses.
