Kansai Paint, a Japanese paint and coatings manufacturer, launched a store franchise program in the United Arab Emirates this week to encourage Emiratis to open Kansai stores and grow the brand’s regional presence.

Kansai kicked off the franchise program at The Big 5 – the Middle East’s largest construction event which is currently underway at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The event gave Kansai Paint the chance to showcase the product and service portfolio offered at Kansai stores. The company created a Dubai Kansai Paint outlet inside the exhibition center to give potential franchisees an inside look at how the store looks and operates.

The replicated retail store served as a model for the look and concept of a Kansai Paint outlet. The exhibit also highlighted the durable technology involved in creating Kansai’s range of products.

Kansai Paint’s franchise program is targeting professionals with coating experience such as contractors, craftsmen and building material dealers in Dubai.

“With the launch of our franchise program, we aim to interact with tradesmen, entrepreneurs and prospective investors at The Big 5 this year,” Kansai Paint Middle East CEO Syed Ameer Hamza Hasan said. “As the region’s largest construction industry event, The Big 5 offers us the ideal platform to engage with the decision makers and industry influencers in the Middle East. Our aim is to increase our reach among the institutional corporate buyers such as property developers, major contracting companies and corporations.”
