Katara Hospitality, a leading
hotel owner, developer and operator in Qatar, said it recently hosted an ISO
22002-2 Food Safety Training session in Doha for its head chefs, chief stewards and
hygiene managers from Katara’s hotels in Qatar.

Representatives from the Ritz-Carlton Doha; Sheraton Grand Doha
Resort & Convention Hotel; Movenpick Hotel Doha; Simaisma, a Murwab Resort; The Avenue, a Murwab Hotel; Sealine, a Murwab Resort; and Saraya Corniche Hotel attended the session.

ISO 22002-2’s Food Safety Training
exists to set requirements for the design, implementation and maintenance
programs that control food safety hazards. Businesses in the hospitality industry,
including hotels, restaurants and dining outlets, as well as hospitals and
health care facilities, often take part in ISO certification training programs
related to food safety.

Bureau Veritas, a global company
that delivers services and accreditations in awareness training, conducted the
training session. The program will help clients meet objectives
for product safety, quality, environmental protection and social
responsibility.
