His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, led a meeting of the Executive Committee of the ADNOC Board of Directors at the company’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi on November 11, 2025.
During the session, Sheikh Khaled reviewed ADNOC’s current performance and outlined its strategic priorities for future growth. The agenda included plans to boost domestic operations and pursue international expansion through its global subsidiary, XRG. The committee also discussed ADNOC’s ongoing efforts to speed up digital transformation by adopting advanced artificial intelligence solutions. Additionally, there was emphasis on supporting and developing national talent within key areas of the energy sector.
Sheikh Khaled highlighted the achievements of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2025, which ADNOC hosted. He said it played an important role in encouraging collaboration and sharing knowledge about the future of energy. He also noted that ADIPEC strengthened the UAE’s position as a reliable global partner for energy security and sustainability.
According to ADNOC, ADIPEC 2025 generated US$46 billion (AED168.8 billion) from 35,000 cross-sector deals and attracted over 239,000 attendees from 172 countries. This outcome reaffirmed the UAE’s ability to convene international stakeholders and its role as a center for energy partnerships and innovation.
At ADIPEC, ADNOC announced several agreements focused on international growth via XRG, use of artificial intelligence technologies, and increasing value for the UAE. Sheikh Khaled praised these accomplishments and stressed how vital it is for ADNOC to remain competitive as global energy markets evolve.
Among these announcements was a contract awarded by TA’ZIZ to construct what will be the UAE’s first integrated single-site polyvinyl chloride (PVC) production complex. XRG also signed a framework agreement with Argentina’s YPF and Italy’s Eni to explore participation in an integrated liquefied natural gas project in Argentina.
The meeting was attended by Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology as well as Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNOC; Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala Investment Company; and Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Finance.
