Kuwait Qatar Insurance Company issued the following announcement on March 22.

In line with the precautions advised by the State of Qatar to counter the spread of COVID-19, QLM Life & Medical Insurance, the Life & Medical insurance entity of Qatar Insurance Group encourages its customers for their convenience to submit their cash reimbursements via WhatsApp message to 55896070, in addition to the member portal available on our online portal qlm-online.com, or through QLM mobile application available on IOS and Android phones. QLM has revolutionized its service offering by introducing access to all healthcare benefits through members valid Qatar ID (QID). This unique service is availed by both Qatari nationals and expatriates. Members are alternatively using their national/resident ID card instead of their medical cards.

QLM Life and Medical’s digital channels are well equipped to manage all queries related to cash reimbursements. Members can upload the necessary documents online without having the need to visit the QLM office in West Bay and track the claims status simply from QLM E-services. Alternatively, members can call QLM 24/7 on its Toll free number 8000880 for further assistance.

While ensuring the continuity of its business operations, QLM Life & Medical Insurance has taken necessary steps to safeguard the health and well-being of its members, employees and the community at large. On another hand, QLM members whom already registered or provided their IBAN no.’s are entertaining our service of facilitating direct transfer of the claim amounts to their respective bank accounts. This would help in ensuring smooth and hassle free operations and mitigating the risk arising from physical visits to collect/deliver the cheques and then visiting the banks for deposit/encashment.

Commenting on the proactive measures taken Mr. Ahmad Mohamed Zebeib, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of QLM Life & Medical states, “As the leading life & health insurer in Qatar, it is our priority to ensure the safety and security of all our members. We are closely monitoring the prevailing situation and are taking necessary steps to support the measures prescribed by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) in limiting the spread of the COVID-19. We encourage all members to maintain hand hygiene, avoiding close contact with people who have symptoms of respiratory infections, and avoid being in large gatherings. Your safety, security, and good health is our highest priority.”

Mr. Zebeib also stated: ““In keeping with our leading position in Qatar, we are thrilled to be the first private insurer in Qatar that has introduced this unique service offerings in the market since more than 4 years. As this initiative doesn’t only highlighted our passion for leading innovation, but also casted a spotlight on our appetite for service excellence.”

He further adds, “Given the current scenario, we will continue to do our part to ensure that QLM members can submit cash reimbursements using our digital channels seamlessly. Our online solutions is a fast and reliable service, available 24/7 and accessible anywhere to our members convenience. At QLM we are keen to provide the maximum possible flexibility to our members in order to provide them with confidence and peace of mind when it comes to their cash claims outside our network of providers. Stay safe and we wish you all well.”
